Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. Her father and mother are both English. She was a student at The Brit School when she was 14 years old. She went to The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she gained an BA in acting. While attending the academy, she performed in numerous stage productions such as the King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her career as an actress with the film Storm Damage. Since then she's made guest appearances for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), with Colin Farrell. Her success led her to play Elisha in a single-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot, then appear in six episodes Trexx & Flipside as Ollie. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi, the lead role on ITV2's drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also appeared on the comedic How to Lose Friends and to annoy people (2008). She was also on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path which was written composed by David Watson.
Madekwe was chosen to play Ashley Davenport for ABC's show The Beautiful Life. The two-episode series aired for just the duration of two weeks The CW and then it was cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. After appearing on the show for the first two seasons the show was announced late May 2013 that she would leave the show after a guest appearance in the first episode of the third season. From 2014 until the year 2016, she appeared on Salem in the role of Tituba. Madekwe and her partner who has been with her for a long time, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. Both have appeared in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also played as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into a big family. She was born to Patty and Roy Leggat. Ashley Leggat was born to Roy and Patty along with her three older siblings: Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's brothers, who are all sportsmen, played in the summer months and play hockey during winter. Ashley did not have the ability to actually walk. She danced. When she reached 2 and a 1/2, she began to take part in Baby Ballet. Ashley discovered a love for dancing after she started Baby Ballet. Ashley continued to compete through high school graduation, at the top levels of competitions, such as ballet, tap, Jazz Pointe, Acrobatics, Pointe Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and more. Every major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and others, have awarded her with the honor of "top soloist".
